TEACHING

Alexa has been teaching musical theatre dance and ballet as well as choreographing musicals in New Jersey and NYC for over 10 years. Skilled in working with students who consider themselves singer/ actors, who want to feel more comfortable in dance calls, as well as students who consider themselves dancers, who want to bring the art of storytelling to their already advanced movement. Alexa is currently on the faculty at ShufflesNYC in Lincoln Center where she worked with the director of the school to create a ballet curriculum designed specifically for actor/singers.

Alexa has also returned to her alma mater Montclair State University as an adjunct professor, teaching ballet to the BFA musical theatre students. She has also served as a guest workshop instructor, teaching students original choreography from the CATS broadway revival which she performed as Demeter on the 2019 National Tour.

 

Alexa is currently a substitute teacher for the school at Ballet Hispanico as well as taught musical theatre workshops to the Ballet Hispanico
